Gymnastics: Region 5 Championship (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio)

Madeline’s last gymnastics meet. She competed on Friday morning in Dayton, Ohio at Regionals.

It was the Region 5 regional championship (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio).

In her age group , she competed against 30 girls!

Beam: 4th place 9.300
Vault: 3rd place. 9.400

Floor: 4th place 9.650
All around: 9th place

Exciting New Program Takes Flight for Our Youngest Eagles!

Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten will continue working on mastering math concepts with the addition of a new program, Math Shelf: Early Math Mastery.

Math Shelf: Early Math Mastery will give our youngest students a strong foundation in math skills that will help them soar to future heights!

Congratulations to Grady, History Challenge Champion! 

Grady’s score from the initial test completed with his Social Studies teacher, Mr. Bokros, qualified him to compete at the Regional Championship for the Great History Challenge at Brown Middle School in Ravenna.

In each round, he received the maximum allowable point total of 14. He was one of five 8th grade Champions and his score qualifies him to compete in the National Championship in Chicago, taking place over Memorial Day weekend.

We recently held our first round of Kindergarten Screening as we prepare for the 24-25 school year! The new students enjoyed it so much they wanted to just stay at school for the day!

State of the Art Technology

   

Corpus Christi is a GSuite school that harnesses the power of Google to assist in the education of our students. With GSuite our students can be working on something in school and pick right up where they left off at home without losing information or having to use a flash drive.

We offer 1:1 technology with every student being issued a device to use during school hours that includes Chromebooks, touch screen Chomebooks, and Ipads. Every classroom is equipped with a classroom laptop, Ipad, and Interactive Whiteboard.

Technology is used seamlessly throughout the school day for everything from education in the arts, math practice, to writing and revising essays. Students are able to interact with the outside world, and put their learning into practice for real world application.


Eagles Before and After Care

       Corpus Christi Academy offers Before and After Care to its registered families on scheduled school days. Students can arrive for Before Care as early as 7:00 am and picked up from After Care as late as 6:00 pm. The program includes homework time, play and snack in a supervised classroom. Service Learning

     CCA students live out their motto “To Serve” by helping the local community through individual service projects as well as classroom service projects.  Some of the organizations that CCA has supported include Altercare Nursing and Rehab Center, Fatima Family Center, the Malachi House, Cloistered Sisters and Carmelite Sisters, Children’s hospitals, Harvest for Hunger, Coats for Kids, Local Students in need, and the Cleveland Food Pantry.

 


Junior Model United Nations

    Model UN is a unique, interactive program that brings world affairs alive for students. Through participation in Model UN simulations, students achieve global learning objectives. They are empowered to investigate the world, recognize different perspectives, communicate ideas to diverse audiences, and apply what they learn creatively during research, debate, and conference time. To participate in Model UN, school teams pick countries to represent in simulations of real UN committees. Adult advisors support students in researching and debating a variety of international challenges and their possible solutions.

 

Mission Statement
The Corpus Christi Academy mission is to work in partnership with parents to nurture and inspire each student to serve as respectful, responsible and resourceful students in a Christ-centered community.

The enrollment for the 2023-24 school year in grades PK through 8 is 184. All employees and volunteers who have contact with students undergo thorough screening, including background checks through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification (BCI&I).
